The CMA Foundation course is the entry level for the Cost and Management Accountancy program offered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
The CMA Foundation course consists of four papers: Fundamentals of Economics and Management, Fundamentals of Accounting, Fundamentals of Laws and Ethics, and Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics.
Similar to the CA Foundation, the CMA Foundation is usually pursued by individuals who have completed their 10+2 education.

3. Examination Structure:
Both CA and CMA Foundation programs require candidates to pass a set of examinations to proceed to the next levels in their respective courses.
The examinations are conducted by the ICAI for CA and the ICMAI for CMA.
To be eligible for the CA Foundation course, a candidate must have completed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized educational board.
Students from all streams (Commerce, Science, Arts) are eligible to enroll in the CA Foundation course.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation level, candidates can progress to the intermediate level of the CA and CMA courses.
The intermediate level is followed by the final level in both CA and CMA programs.
